Masahiro Kawamura failed to grab his second win before his journey to EPGA QT in few weeks. He had 4 stroke lead when he made the half turn, but "I just couldn't keep up the pace on the Sunday back nine."

Masahiro started out as a co-leader on the Final Round but recalls it as "worst shot-making day of this tournament".
He managed to scramble with his short games, but in back nine, Shugo Imahira was getting so close on the back-view mirror.
Shugo was only 1 behind Masahiro by the 13th. Masahiro managed to widen the lead by 2 strokes on 15th, but Shugo kept charging.
"I birdied 15th, but when Shugo par-saved his troublesome situation from the woods, it was worth more than a par."

Last 3 holes were amazing closure by Shugo, who birdied them all.
"If he charges like that, there was no way of stopping."

Eventually on 17th, where Shugo birdied for 2.5-meters, Masahiro couldn't hole the par putt, which ended as a 2-shot swing and leader replaced.
"That 17th is very regretful, I wish I could have saved myself from making that bogey with a good short game."

Current No.1 on the Money Ranking, Shugo swept the victory. Masahiro had to cry over 1 shot for most wanted 2nd victory.

"I guess this is Golf. Some good days and some bad days. But you'll never know until you finish."
Masahiro couldn't get his hand on the trophy at Sodegaura CC, but he has one more chance before he leaves for EPGA QT.
Next week's Mynavi ABC Championship will be his last game on Japan Tour this season.

"I will practice as much as I can and go for that win!"
