Chan Kim keeps his co-leader position after Round 2
Chan Kim's average Driving Distance for the 2 rounds is 347.75 yards and he kept his top seat at DD ranking as well. He had bogey free round with 1 eagle and 4 birdies to keep his momentum going.
Chan Kim fought tough for the Order of Merit race in 2017, and became No1 for the Driving Distance but, his back injury made him fall out from the tournaments. Then in 2018, he has injured his left hand and had to stay out of the Tour for full season.
So, it has been 2 years since Chan played at Fujizakura. The thick cloud was covering the Mt. Fuji for past 4 days, but today, it showed the magnificent beauty.
"We couldn't see Mt. Fuji yesterday but today with the good weather, I am thankful that I got to see the beauty of Mt. Fuji. It really feels great to see the view and spiritual mountain surly give me power."
"I don' have time to do so during the games, but I wish to climb up to the top someday."
As for this week, Chan hopes to keep is top position on the leader board until the Sunday afternoon.
