Making a comeback from sad injury, Scott Strange challenges for the Tour Card

Scott is used to gusty wind condition, since he has been playing in his home country Australian Tour last week. But it is summer in his home town Perth, this cold weather was pretty nasty.
"I don't mind about the wind, but it was too cold, my hands were frozen."

When Scott holed out, the sunset was beautiful, but his face was almost blue due to the freezing temperature. For a 41 years old Scott who is making a comeback from official absence because of injury, this freezing day was pretty tough to beat.

2 years ago, at the Mitsui Sumitomo VISA Taiheiyo Masters, he failed to catch the ball that his caddy threw, and he has damaged his left index finger's tendon rupture. He chose to continue the tournament which costed him to lay down the club for 8 months. He couldn't play for the whole season, last year.

Scott has recovered from his injury in January this year, but his fingers do not bend easily as it did before.
"I changed my grip to thicker ones and tried other things to make it better."

But on freezing days like today, his finger doesn't work as he wants it to do.
"I have to do whatever I could do."

This week Scott faces his last chance to get his Tour Card for the next season. He is out of his official absence now, he is on his own. Hs stands at 110th on the Money List, he finished 2nd at Kansai Open this year, but his prize money is only at 3,896,100 yen.

"I must finish in top 3. You never know what is going to happen in golf."
Scott marked 67 in gusty wind condition and is a co-leader after 1st Round. He is looking for the "real comeback" this week.
