Golf Nippon Series JT Cup 2018

Brendan Jones marks tournament record score of 28 on Day 3

Brendan Jones made a real moving Saturday today from 6th hole today. His tee shot hit the trees but luckily it bounced back to the fairway. He had 217 yards left, and with the 5 Iron, he got it to the 7 meters for the eagle try. He completely read the line and got that eagle on his scorecard. Then it was followed by 3 consecutive birdies. Which resulted in 28, the tournament record score.
"I played magnificently in my front nine. I had the chance to make it a great round, but I lost the momentum."

He made a birdie on 11th, but on next 12th, he shot his 2nd over the green and made a first bogey of the day.

"Golf is 18 holes" refrained Brendan. It had to go a bit down hill toward the end, but he is now only 3 strokes behind the leaders.

In 2007, he made a course record 61 and made a great come-from-behind victory. He was runner-up last week, and week before was 3rd. He is getting his A game back. This is Brendan's 17th year in Japan Tour. He has long distance as his strength, but is stability is another power he possesses.
"I haven't won this year yet, but I think I got that feeling back"
That most wanted victory might come tomorrow.
