Ho-Sung Choi was cheered by a lot of fans from Day 1. They were the staffs from Niki Golf, who became his sponsor from middle of this season. The had "Go!! Tora-san" written on the billboards.
(Choi's nickname is Tora-san, since Tora means tiger in Japanese. He has Chinese character tiger in his first name)
They called out "Tora-san, Tora-san" from early in the morning. Of course, Tora-san, answered with his dynamic "Tiger dance" swing.

He dances all around the 1st Tee ground on his tee shot.
"I thought the shot will go left, so I bended my body to right to make it go straight."
Actually, he bended so much, it was like almost flipping back, which made the fans so happy.

Tora-san went on to make fans laugh and enjoy his swings, but he was also doing a great golf as well. He was the only bogey-free player on Day 1. The perfect round ended with the prefect par save.
"I have confidence in my short game now, so I can stay calm even at the troublesome shots."
As he said, he made a splendid 2nd shot from the right side with confidence and made it to 1.5 meter to the pin. He holed the putt and made his famous "Get" pose.

When he was off the course, 4 TV stations were after him for the interview. He gathered the most media on Day 1. But when he was asked, if he was ready for win No.2, he was very conservative.
"It's only 1 day. We still have Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We must go 1 day at the time. Play my best each and every day."
