Mitsui Sumitomo VISA Taiheiyo Masters 2020
Katsumasa Miyamoto shows his gratitude with 3T finish to the host course for their warm support
"I had the privilege of playing on this course for so many times, so if I played over Par today, I must apologize to the Course Manager."
Katsumasa lives just 15 minutes' drive from the course. So, during the stay home period due to the COVID-19 pandemic, course provided him the place to practice.
"Usually, we play here for this tournament, and few times on special events in December. I have been living nearby for 16 years, but on regular seasons I am on the tour around Japan, but this year I was able to enjoy spring summer autumn and winter here. It was really beautiful during the spring green leaves season."
"I usually play after all of the guests have left. I play as the course care takers are doing their magnificent job. So, I know what a great job they do here."
"I came here last Sunday. I was wondering when the greens will become so slick to the world's top-class tournament setting. It was nothing like this fast on Sunday. But when I came on Tuesday and was really surprised to see the preparations were finished just in 2 days."
"I am grateful that even under these tough circumstances, hosting course gave their very best to set the course to be so perfect. So, as a player, we must play well. It is very unfortunate that the spectators are not allowed. I really wish all will be back to normal as fast as it could."
