34 years old Tatsunori Nukaga turned Pro 13 years ago, and he has become the 13th first time winner in this 2018 season. He did not have a tour card, so he was invited to this Mitsui Sumitomo VISA Taiheiyo Masters. Winning did not strike his mind before he started on the Thursday. Only thing in his mind was the QT third next week.

"I never thought that I could win. My mind was whiteout at that moment."

Tatunori drew in the victory at the birdie on 15 th. After the leader Shota Akiyoshi bogeyed the Par 3 17th, and Tatunori birdied the last 18th hole, the club house leader became Tatunori. At the end, Shota had to go for the "must birdie" took a risky tee shot which sadly became OB. Tatunori didn't have to wait until Shota to hole out, to find out that he has done the deal. Got the monkey off his back and received the winners honor.

Tasunori's strength is his distance. He has won the Driving Distance Award 4 times. This long hitter is now another new face in 2018 season winner's list.
