Shaun Norris's home country South Africa will be battling Italy in World Cup Rugby tonight, and before that battle Shaun himself fought really well today at R2. It was still a windy day today at Miyoshi CC. Shaun was recalling what his father used to tell him, "Ball control is the key for playing in the wind, so enjoy that situation".

He felt as his father was talking to him from up above, so even in the toughest of the condition, Shaun had a smile on his face, and ended his Round 2 with solo 3rd position, just 1 shot behind the co-leaders.

This week, his 4 years younger brother Kyle is carrying the bag for Shaun. Shaun and his 2 younger brother are all golfers, following their father's footsteps.
"My brother really knows me well and understands my conditions. When I bang into a trouble situation, he would always say, if Dad was here, he would advise you this. My brother's words remind me of my father's teachings. Thanks to him, I am able to play calm and concentrated in the gusty wind condition like today."

Shaun made 6 birdies, but he also had 4 bogeys, but he says, "if you keep your patience, the chance will come". In the frustrating situation with the gusty wind, Shaun was able to keep his temper thanks to his brother and the teachings from his father.

Shaun's father pasted away during the Japan PGA in June. Shaun was told by his father not to fly back home and keep on playing the tournament. Shaun did his best play and ended as 4T. He flew back home right after the tournament and mourned with his family for the big loss. Still the sorrow and pain has not been eased.
"I always talk with my brother to go on fighting our best for Dad."

His home country's exciting match will surely endorse Shaun's play tomorrow for getting his hands closer to his 4th Tour victory.
