Gourmet rice from Akita donated to children in Hyogo by American player Blake Snyder

Blake Snyder, an American player working great in his 5th year as a professional has become a bridge between Akita Prefecture's popular gourmet rice "Akita Komachi" and the children's nursing home in Hyogo Prefecture.

The donating ceremony was held on July 9th Tuesday at Kobe City's children's nursing home "Kobe Shinsei", where 60 kilograms of "Akita Komachi" was given to the kinds in need.

This donation was from Blake Snyder who has earned the 60 kilograms of "Akita Komachi" as a prize for the hole-in-one he made at the Par3 3rd hole on 2nd Day of Abema Tour's "South Akita CC Michinoku Challenge".

Blake is enjoying his 2nd season in Japan Tour and, what he loves so much about Japan is "that the food is great everywhere in Japan".
He was fascinated to receive the prize, but he found out it will be quite difficult to fly back to home in Seattle with that load of rice with him. So, Blake decided to give the rice to his management office to thank for their support, but that was declined by the professional caddy and the representative of the office, President Maemura.
"President Maemura said we should give out to more in need."
So, Blake asked President Maemura to search for the best beneficial place to offer the rice, and he flew back to Seattle.

Today, the great prize became a great present to the children's nursing home in Kobe City. The representative of the nursing home thanked the President Maemura and those words of gratitude was sent to Blake my e-mail.

Warm and giving thoughts by Blake is literary nourishing the children in Kobe City.
