Gate Way To The Open Mizuno Open at The Royal Golf Club 2019

Ryosuke Kinoshita "Mr. double eagle" went through tough round on over 8000 yards setting

On the Day 1 of Mizuno Open, when the total yardage was 7643, Ryosuke Kinoshita made a miraculous double eagle on the Par 5 3rd Hole. His 2nd shot from 245 yard found the bottom of the cup and scored "2" on his card. This was the Reiwa Era's first double-eagle and 27 years old Ryosuke Kinoshita's, on his 7th years as Pro, name will be on the record.

But the Mr. double eagle was having hard time today on the total 8016 yards setting.
"Today there was no chance for me to do anything like that. No way."

Today's setting was way long, and also the pin positions were tougher.

"I managed to play even par, which is pretty well done for me."

He was hesitant to be interviewed at the "hero interview" stage, saying that "I'm not worthy to be among the top players."

But he added "I am under too much pressure and have no time to even worry about the length of the course, but I will try my best tomorrow."

Ryosuke is 4 shot behind the leader, and if he could make it within top 4, the ticket for the British Open will be granted. From percentage wise, finishing within top 4 is much easier than making a double eagle on Par 5, to he might have a good chance.
