Chan Kim may be out of the Money Race, but he is ready to take "Japan Tour No.1 Title"

Chan Kim may be pushed out from the Order of Merit race, but he is eager to end the season with a bang! He was in the final group with No.1 and No.2 of the Money Rankers. Chan Kim threw his signed cap into the spectator stand before his tee off which made the fans roar.

His manager used to work for Shingo Katayama, who uses to do the throwing of his hat into the stand. Chan was told by his manager to follow the Shingo's gesture.
Chan told his manager that "I was worried that the fans will want to have my cap. Fans might not know me, and they might reject catching it".
But his manager replied, "That worry is nonscience, everyone will love it. Since you are an International player, you need to do more fan service."

Fans loved it. So, Chan decided to do it every day for the full 4 rounds.

2 years ago, he was in the Order of Merit race, but had to withdraw the season finale due to back injury. Last year he was fighting his injury and couldn't compete in any games. So, this will be his revenge which he has waited more than a year.

He is not eligible to grab the Order of Merit title, but he is still No.1 on the Driving Distance STATS with average of 316.70 yards. He is ready to capture that title for the 2nd time in his Japan Tour career.

Chan Kim finished his Round 1 at 1 under, with 4 birdies and 3 bogeys to score 69.
