We had the chance to have a chat with Matthew Griffin & Won Joon Lee at the 3rd Round of the Shishido Hills. They were in the same group and seemed to have fun together on the round.

They are both from Australia and have known each other for over 15 years. Their play style may be different, but they seem to get along very well. In the 3rd Round of the JGTC Mori Building Cup Shishido Hills 2019, the were having very meaningful talk while they played together.

Both Matthew Griffin and Won Joon Lee are becoming father this year! Matthew's beloved wife is expecting a baby boy in 3 weeks. So, Matt will be flying back home ASAP to see her. As for Won Joon Lee, his beloved wife is expecting a baby girl in October. Both will be blessed with their first babies.

They talked about fatherhood and how they should prepare and so on and so forth during the serious tournament, but becoming a father is much important as playing in the Japan Tour's Major, maybe.

Matthew says his game is coming together and feel that he is getting where he wants to. So is Won Joon. Both must work hard and bring home big cash for their future babies.

I have asked, since their babies will be born in same year and since the fathers are great friends, maybe the babies might get married in the future. The reply from both "to be fathers" was the same, "maybe? Maybe not?"
