Japan Tour will make its re-start of the Tournaments on September 3rd after 8 months of close down, but unfortunately Defending Champion Sang-Hyun Park will be not participating.

Sang-Hyun Park, who won last year, his 2nd Tour victory has sent his warm supporting thoughts.
"I have wished that we could be in Japan and see all of the golf fans there, but it is very unfortunate. When we heard that the Tournament will be back, I was excited, very happy that I could play again in Japan. I started to work on my documents to re-enter to Japan, but things got very complicated and could not come through."

Re-entry permits were granted on August 5th, every foreigner with the status of residence was allowed back into Japan with certain limitations, but new VISAs were not to be out for some time.

"My VISA from last year has already expired, so I could not get to Japan no matter how I wished."
As same as Sang-Hyun Park, many of the foreign players had to sit out from the Fujisankei Classic.

At last year's Fujisankei Classic, Sang-Hyun Park made his winning putt just in time before the typhoon arrived at the shores of Kanto area. He was so grateful for all of the spectators who stayed and cheered for him nevertheless of the harsh weather conditions.
"I was overwhelmed that so many fans stayed at the site and continued to cheer. I was very touched, and still is very grateful for all of the fans. I cannot be there to defend my title, but I will send my warm support to the tournament from overseas."

Korean Tour has been able to hold 6 tournaments counting the one last week.
"When I see the fellow players at the tournament, we all talk that we really want to go back to Japan soon. The young guns in Korea are getting really strong, even I was the Order on Merit Champion on Korean Tour 2 years ago, I must try harder to keep my position on this Tour too."

"I was able to spend valuable time with my family due to stay home periods and happy about it but playing with my 2 boys is tougher than playing the tournament. This is another reason I want to be back in Japan. I really look forward to being back in Japan. Until then, I wish all of the golf fans' safety and success on the Fujisankei Classic.
