"The only Asian Major winner who won by beating Tiger" takes the lead on Day 2

Legend still remains at Gotemba as Tiger made the dramatic chip in eagle at Taiheiyo Club Gotemba Course. One of the co-leader after Round 2 is "the only Asian Major winner who won by beating Tiger", Y.E Yang.

Course renovation was done 2 years ago, and it became 7262 yards Par 70 tough setting.
"When you get too pumped up, it goes the wrong way. You must keep the good rhythm."

Y.E Yang kept the good rhythm and seemed very relaxed with his beloved wife side by side pulling the caddy dart for him. He is now at total 6 under, and shares the leader position with Ryuji Masaoka, playing well and ready to grab his 6th Tour win, following the victory at Chunichi Crowns last year.

Y.E Yang is 47 years old and enjoying his 23rd year of professional life. He has glorious record on his resume, the win at 2009 PGA Championship.
Winning against Tiger Woods on the Major, by playing in the same final group on Final Round. Tiger's stats until them was 100% win, when he started as leader on the final round, but Y.E Yang changed that by doing come from behind win against Tiger in the Major.
Y.E still holds "the only Asian Major winner" title, which is not yet overwritten even after 10 years.

"That day, I played as if it were a practice round. Everybody wanted Tiger to win. I also thought that I had no chance winning against Tiger, so I played with no pressure. That somehow got Tiger under pressure and luckily that result followed."

Y.E watched Tiger make history with his No.82 win at inaugural US PGA Tour event in Japan, ZOZO Championship, back home on TV.
"Great victory at age of 44, it was really magnificent."

Y.E was also very impressed by the change on Tiger's strategy in golf.
"Tiger in 30s wanted to gain more distance and swinging with his full power. But now he seems to be swinging according to his physical conditions and making a great rhythm on his swings. No wonder he could play so well at his age. I still want to fight hard too."

Tiger has made a dramatic chip in eagle on the final hole of the Final Round here in 2001. Y.E is eager to make his own history here at Gotemba on this weekend.
