Player's Chairman gave an oath at 2020 Season's Opening Ceremony

It took 8 extra months to open the 2020 season in Japan Tour due to COVID-19 pandemic. But finally, today on September 3rd, the Opening Ceremony starting with the National Anthem, at the 10th Tee box area.

JGTO Chairman Isao Aoki and Player's Chairman Ryuko Tokimatsu sent deep appreciation to the main sponsor of the tournament, Fujisankei Group and the venue Fujizakura CC, on behalf of all the players and Tour organization.

Isao Aoki also added, "I believe that the players will have excitement, joy and appreciation in their hearts and will perform splendidly answering to fans expectations."

Ryuko Tokimatsu made the oath, pledging "We, the players wished to perform in front of our supporting fans. Unfortunately, this tournament will be non-spectator event, but with a great help by the Fujisankei Group and media, we will be able to show our best performances through broadcasts. We promise to do our best and deliver exciting golf. We appreciate for your continuing warm support to our Tour."

Player's Committee has decided to start a charity acts on every tournament hosting towns. This week, Player's Committee will donate through Yamanashi Prefecture toward healthcare and medical personnel. At the ending of the ceremony, participants of the Opening Ceremony applauded to show the feeling of gratitude toward the healthcare and medical personnel.

The first tee off started at 7:20 am (JST).
