Casio World Open Golf Tournament 2021

19 years old super rookie Ryo Hisatsune secured his Tour Card in just 11 tournaments

Casio World Open has ended and Tour Card recipients by money earnings has been decided. Pro-longed 2020-21 season gave birth to 16 Tour Card first timers. All of them were Japanese players, since many of the international players were not able to participate in many of the tournaments due to pandemic re-entry permit restrictions.

Among the 16 first timers, one player really stands out. 19 years old Ryo HIsatsune, who joined the Regular Tour from last portion of the season and appeared in just 11 tournaments. He finished this week at total 25T. His goal was to win on the Regular Tour and make himself into the JT Cup, but that wish wasn't granted.

He had great birdie chance on the 18th but couldn't make it.

"This kind of miss is what I must work on. I played remarkably on the first 2 rounds, but I couldn't get on the roll in the weekend because I lack techniques in my short game. I really need to brush up my short game."

Ryo finishes as 50th in the Money Rankings and secured the Tour Card.

"That part, I can feel that I am improving."

Ryo turned professional right after he graduated from high school. His professional career started out as 1212nd on the QT Rankings this year, but in the cub-tour AbemaTV Tour, he soon won 3 times, and with that benefit he automatically earned his way into the Regular Tour.

Ryo only played 11 tournaments on the Regular Tour, including his best finish as 4th on SMBC VISA Taiheiyo Masters. With only 11 tournaments, he magnificently secured the Tour Card.

"Next year, I want to come back to this tournament as one of the player in the battle for the Order of Merit race. I will improve myself and come back much stronger."
