On the final tournament of the year, 5 players who has the chance of becoming this prolonged 2021-22 season Order of Merit Champion gathered. Photo session of the 5 great players were done on Wednesday, and the race for this honorable title has become dead heat battle until the very end.

2020-21 season finale's winner prize is 40 million yen. Runner-up will receive 15 million yen. Current No.1 Chan Kim holds \126,250,211. No.2 Ryosuke Kinoshita has \113,859,647 and he is \12,390,564 behind Chan. No.3 Takumi Kanaya has \109,803,605 and he is \16,446,606 short. No.4 Rikuya Hoshino has \102,689,496 and his gap between Chan is \23,560,715.

For Chan Kim to succeed in grabbing the Order of Merit Champion title, he must not let Ryosuke, Takumi and Rikuya win. As for Ryosuke, he could flip the position even by becoming solo 2nd. There is a slight chance for No.5 Yuki Inamori as well. If he wins, it will depend on how Chan finishes.

If Chan succeeds in defending his champion title, it will be very simple, and he will be crowned with Order of Merit too.

"If I could become the Order of Merit Champion and also win here that will be more than great" smiled Chan.

Chan won at the Dunlop Phoenix 2 weeks ago, his 3rd victory of the season and became No.1 on the Money Rankings. But last week at Casio World Open, he finished at 45T, saying "his fatigue from traveling was the cause. So, this week I decided to give myself plenty of time to rest. I spent most of time on bed at the hotel for this Monday and Tuesday."

Chan is still continuing on his half partial fasting, only eating between 1 pm to 7 pm.

"When I am asked to dine with someone, I ask them to arrange the dinner to start around 5 or 6 pm. If for some reason I eat past 7 pm, I will shift my fasting hours on the next day and adjust. So, I am succeeding in continuing the fasting."

In 2017, Chan was No.3 on the Money Rankings, and had the great chance for becoming the Order of Merit champion, but on the 1R of the JT Cup he WD due to his back injury. This week, he is making up to the big upset he had to face 4 years ago.
