26 years old Tomoyo Ikemura wants to place pressure other 2 in 40s with his power play

Solo leader Hideto Tanihara is aiming to win his first JT Cup title and make his 16th Tour victory. Yusaku Miyazato is on the hunt to make his V3 at JT cup from 3 strokes behind. Tomoyo Ikemura at total 10 under as solo 2nd in caught between 2 of veteran players in 40s in the final groupings on Sunday.

"Both of them are really tough to beat but I am fortunate to have this experience to learn from them. I hope I won't fall apart with pressure and instead place pressure onto them."

 

Tomoyo has won his 1st Tour victory at ISPS HANDA Gutsun to Tobase Tournament in October.

"After my 1 st victory, my goal was to win one more in remaining 5 tournaments. I wanted to win, still having the image on winning left in me."

 

Tomoyo made an eagle on 17th by hitting to 3-meter of the pin with 6I from 196 yards. He also made 4 birdies and played bogey free round.

 

He didn't use tees on the several tee shots as he did when he won his 1st victory.

"I am feeling confident on my shots and hit them with satisfying control."

 

Tomoyo made his way up the leader board pretty quickly today.

"I am still chasing the leader, but there is only 1 stroke difference, so I believe there is a chance for me. I want to go aggressive tomorrow."
