Reigning JGTO Order of Merit champion Chan Kim from the United States produced his best performance yet this season as he signed off with a tied-12 finish at The Crowns on Sunday.

The 32-year-old American began the defence of his money list title by finishing tied-16th in the season-opening Token Homemate Cup before barely making the cut at last week’s ISPS HANDA Championship right on the bubble. He would go on to settle for a share of 66th place.

This week, Kim carded rounds of 69, 65, 72 and 67 to finish nine shots back of champion Yuki Inamori from Japan.

Compatriot Todd Baek remained in contention for his maiden JGTO breakthrough until the 12th hole before four bogeys in his closing six holes saw him slip to equal 12th place with Kim and the Japanese duo of Shugo Imahira and Kunihiro Kamii.

Australian Andrew Evans, who missed the cut last week, bounced back by posting rounds of 66, 68, 70 and 70 for a tied-16th finish- his best result in four starts on the JGTO.

"I’m proud of how I played this week as it’s a new tournament for me, and I’m playing on a new golf course too. I gave myself chances and managed to take them well,” said Evans.
