It was certainly a Major debut to savour for Australia's Todd Sinnott after finishing a commendable tie for 31st at the 122nd US Open Championship on Sunday.
The 30-year-old Sinnott ended the campaign 14 rungs higher by producing his best round of the week - an even-par 70 - after trading three birdies against three bogeys at The Country Club in Massachusetts.
That effort saw Sinnott finished on a six-over-par 286 total at the challenging venue where only 11 players managed to finish even-par for the tournament.
Englishman Matt Fitzpatrick stood out by putting together four solid rounds that included three 68s for six-under overall to deservingly lift his maiden Major championship breakthrough.
He won by one shot over world number one Scottie Scheffler and Will Zalatoris as Japanese ace Hideki Matsuyama made the country proud once again on the Major stage by finishing a superb solo fourth.
Sinnott was the only other JGTO member besides Matsuyama to have made the cut at the US$12.5mil showpiece, which is the third Major of the season.
His solid effort netted him US$100,331.
