It was a windy Frist Round at the Bridgestone Open today. With that harsh condition, 66 was a good enough bonus, thanks to the "Master Komei" says Daijiro.
"Komei Oda is a great brotherly figure. He takes great care of me at off season practices. He is very warm-hearted man. He always gives me precise advices, even when he is facing the rough times of his own."
This week, Daijiro asked Komei to check up on his swing.
"When I make mistake, it's usually caused by not holding my body steady enough. In order to fix that, Komei told me to keep my eyes point down and lower my shoulder lines when I set up. By doing so, I was able to hit a crisp and powerful low angle shot."
This was the key to score so well on the windy day.

Last week, Daijiro felt little ashamed that he did not congratulate his good buddy Yuki Inamori for his fabulous win at the Japan Open. Daijiro stated his Final Round at 7:23 tee time in the second group, eventually finishing the round more than 4.5 hours before Yuki made his First Victory.
"I couldn't wait that long. I wasn't able to honor Yuki at the 18th green, but I've watched it live on TV at my hotel room."

Daijiro won his first victory at the RIZAP KBC Augusta in August this year.
He said "Sorry, I go first!" with not much of intention, but this really sparked Yuki's fighting spirit.
"That was supposed to be a joke, just to put little pressure on Yuki"
May be Daijiro didn't meant to be, but it was powerful magic word for Yuki.
"I did win first, but Yuki caught up really quick!"

Old playmate from same Kagoshima Prefecture is now a Japan Open Champion.
"Yuki and I were rivals since junior high school. We were always competing each other at tournaments. We are really good rivals, but I know Yuki is still much better than me."
Daijiro says Yuki motivates him. "Yuki played so calm and steady when he achieved his big title. I learned from watching Yuki that calm mind is the key to victory."
Two old buddies are racing for that second trophy together.
"I will do my best to get that second victory. I want to inspire my generations and want to be inspired by them as well. We, the young generation will try to start the chain reaction of victory rush!"
