Korean legend, Y E Yang who has come back to JT Cup for the first time in 13 years has done great on the Day 1. He has made an amazing charge to score 7 under par on his front nine. He made a 1.5-meter birdie putt on 2nd, then he went on to make consecutive chip ins. At the 3rd, his second shot from 100 yards went in and st 4th it was 40-yard with a sand wedge. These miracle chip ins were followed by 2 birdies at 5th and 6th.

"It was going so well, I started to get excited."

Y E Yang is the only Asian player to achieve the Major title by even beating Tiger Woods. But that is 9 years ago. He went through final QT to get into the Japan Tour this season. He won at the Chunichi Crowns in April, which was his 5th win and his last win was 11 years ago.

Yang says he likes these fast greens, and he knows his game matches this course. He did get little bit stuck in his back nine, but he was calm enough.
"I knew that if you go to the pin broadly, you will get in trouble. I made myself calm and concentrated."
He has taken a birdie at 15th and took the Day 1 lead again.

Yang was able to answer back to his wife's loving support. She carried the bag for him at the win he made in April, and she is carrying it again this week. But this week, there is no automatic bag cart, she is literally carrying it like other pro caddies.

Yang changed his caddy bag to much lighter and carriable one for her. Which made Yang wonder sometimes to find what he needed.
"The placement for the things were different from the auto carts, so it was confusing. I was so concerned that she won't bother other players play. I couldn't concentrate on my play."

Sometimes Yang took the bag from his wife to place it in proper spots. He also stopped her from reading the lines on the green. I rather do everything on my own, like alculating the distance, and choosing the club.
"But as long as she was by my side, I felt mentally relaxed."
As he said, even at the time he had a bogey, he was smiling next to his wife.

"It was her first time to do this, so I guess she is very tired. But I think she is happy too."
All ended well on Day 1. Yang might talk strongly on the course, but outside of the course they are love birds.
"We haven't had the chance to do a wedding ceremony, but we are planning to do it next year."

With the hopeful win No.2 this weekend, the wedding ceremony could be pretty gorgeous.
