HEIWA PGM CHAMPIONSHIP 2018
Last year's Money Champ was busy working as a Host Tournament Pro
On Wednesday, Yusaku Miyazato play a Pro-am round with the CEO of the main sponsor, PGM (Pacific Golf Management K.K.), President Tanaka.
Last year, Yusaku was Player's Chairman, and wanted to boost the tournament by asking his superstar sister "Ai-chan" to come to the venue.
If she came, it would had been a super surprise to the spectators. But Ai Miyazato announced her retirement from the Pro that year, she was too busy to make her brother's wish come true. This year Ai also announced her long waited marriage, so there seems to be no possibility that she will come this year either.
Last year, their father Masaru Miyazato was hospitalized last year. He managed to come to cheer for his son 1 day regardless of his situation. This year Masaru is much healthier and well, he will be there for his son all week long.
Yusaku gains his fathers encouragement and seeks for his victory as the tournament host.
"I must win!" says Yusaku with enthusiasm.
Last season there were 2 tournaments held in his homeland Okinawa, but this year this HEIWA PGM Championship is the only one.
"I wish to give a great tournament to the people here in my homeland Okinawa. Many young guns are doing so well this year, so I bet this tournament will be a great battle. I hope to be the one amongst the winning battle on Sunday afternoon. I will stay focus and do whatever I must do."
