Every year new and talented international players joins Japan Tour, but this new face in town is a face we should all remember.
Dylan Perry, 23 years old from Australia passed the QT Finals in 22nd place, made his first appearance on Japan Tour this week and already in contention.

Gusty wind got in his way on his back nine, but in his front half he cruised his way throughout the course including a 6-meter eagle putt on the 17th, carded in with 68, jumping to total 8 under into the tied to 4th, 2 shots behind the leaders.

Dylan got his ticket to this event on last Thursday, as he was on the waiting list. As soon as he got the message that he could be on this event, he had to panic a little.
"I had to book the plane, hotel and so on. It was a mad rush!"

But his game wasn't affected by that hectic schedule and made himself get into the top group on the leaderboard.

Dylan started to play golf when he was 13 years old. He has earned "Queensland Amateur" titles as well as received Player of the Year in Australian Amateur.
In 2017, he was the runner-up at the legendary British Amateur. Next year Dylan turned Pro and on best finish on the rookie season was 3rd.

With his potential, he could have jumped to the USPGA Tour, but he chose to come to Japan Tour to gain more skills and experiences.

"The key is step by step. I want to one step at the time to achieve firmly. My goal for this years is to do well and get my Tour Card to the next season."

Anthony Quayle, who joined the Japan Tour last year is literally "neighbor" back home. Their home at Gold Coast is 2 minutes walking distance.
"I have known Anthony from junior days, but he got close 5 years ago. He gave me many advices when I decided to join Japan Tour."

When Dylan said, "Anthony is tall and handsome", media said "so are you". That comment made Dylan blush a little. Anthony is 193cm and Dylan is 184cm, both with a "good looking face".
If Dylan wins this week, he will become a promising star on Japan Tour for sure.
