RIZAP KBC Augusta Golf Tournament 2019
Ryo Ishikawa on to achieving "3 straight victory" plays stable and confident golf
Ryo played the 7 left over holes from the Round 1 and on to Round 2, which totaled to 25 holes and finished at 10 under, provisional but at this moment he is at tied to 7th onto the weekends.
For his 7 left over holes, he made 2 birdies and scored 67. After just few break times he went on to score another 67 for the Round 2 with no bogeys.
"When I was out there, I didn't feel as I was in the good position amongst the field, but when I see my position on the leader board, I guess my golf is totally getting better. I can feel that my desirable play is coming back."
Ryo has won here at 2016. But he has bad memory of the course from last year where he suffered from heatstroke on Day 2. He pushed himself to continue to play and finished at tied to 7th, but that overdo lead him to WD from the tournament next week.
"I overestimated my physical fitness, I thought I was strong enough not to care so much about heatstroke. Heatstroke is not for athletes like me. I was wrong."
So even though it is not so hot at Keya GC this year Ryo is taking precaution to not to get dehydrated and also calling out to other players to take care. Ryo plays a great roll as Players' Chairman and also as the star player of the Tour that all the fans were waiting for to make the comeback.
