At RIZAP KBC Augusta this year, tour organization asked the Fukuoka Prefecture related players to sign their autographs on the tournament's souvenir pin flag. The last one to sign was Ryuko Tokimatsu, AKA "Gen-chan".

Ryuko Tokimatsu was raised in Nakagawa City of Fukuoka Prefecture. He first challenged this Keya GC in 2011 as amateur and has been coming here for 6 years in a row. But until 2 years ago, he wasn't able to make the cutline. After he has gained 3 tournament wins last year, he was finally able to make it to the weekends.

This year, he sits tied to 4th after the Round 3. Good position to be in contention for the trophy.
"The key was putting. I was able to read the lines well."

"Gen-chan" is from his real name Genzou, which was featured on a comic sports TV show and since then, many calls him "Gen-chan" and his fans even made a T-shirt with his nickname on it.

He also got a great news from JGTO staff that, "Gen-chan" was named as "favorite male professional golfer" by Erina Hara, JLPGA player on her magazine interview. Ryuko had a chance to team up with Erina Hara at end of last year in oversea's group game. Erina is one of the top players in "JLPGA's golden 20's" and she is pretty too. Ryuko recalls the encounter as "love at first sight". He just couldn't believe there could be such a beautiful lady.

So, he was more than excited to here that Erina chose "Gen-chan" as her favorite.
"I just can't believe that she chose. But I will try to do better so that she will like me more."
