Jung-Gon Hwang from Korea is aiming desperately for his 4th win on his 4th year in Japan Tour. His emotions showed in his play as he made a chip in eagle on Par 5 15th from the front greenside roughs. He usually doesn't show much of his feelings, but at this eagle, he made a fist pump.

With this great 2 shot jump, he is now at total 14 under, just 1 shot behind the leader Shugo Imahira.

Jung-Gon Hwang is now 27 years old, he has secretly decided about the compulsory military service in South Korea.
"I have decided that if I could pass the physical checkups at the end of the year, I will go for the military service duty from next year."

This means he will be away from the Tour for 2 full years.
"I really want to win at least 1 tournament within this season to make my seed concrete."

Jung-Gon Hwang's trademark is his round frame glasses and pretty babyface, but this year he seems to have become more masculine and looks very fit. This is all because of his success on diet during the off season. He used to weight 94kg but now he is slim cut to 86kg.

"I have done lots of training and decreased the amount of rice."
He used to eat as he wished, but he decided to push himself for the diet because, "last year I was too heavy and during the rounds, my knees started to ache". He seemed to be embarrassed saying this, but he added, "now I am slim and fit, I feel great".

Jung-Gon Hwang always smiles to his fans and he is very polite to everyone, so he has many fans in and outside of the rope.

We all wish him that he would accomplish his desire for that 4th victory, and comeback to Japan Tour after safely serving his duty for his country.
