Fujisankei Classic 2019

Ryo Ishikawa got wet on the final 9th to make double bogey to hole out with 3 under par

Ryo Ishikawa was in good position, just 1 shot behind the leader at 5 under par, when he started his final hole at 9th. But his second shot from the right side rough was caught in the water and that lead to double bogey finish. He holed out with 3 under par, 3 shot behind the provisional leader Chan Kim.

For his front nine, his Driving Accuracy Percentage was 100%, and in his back nine, he only missed the fairway on 6th and final 9th.
"I was playing so well today, by Driver shots were really good but my last tee shot was a complete mistake and that lead to another mistake on the 2nd shot. I really regret that one mistake followed another."

Ryo Ishikawa has won twice in a row in 2009 and 2010. He knows this course suites him, but he has been away from playing at Fujizakura for 3 years.
"I will put my mistake aside and refocus again. I will fight harder for the next 3 days to grab my 3rd win here."
