Token Homemate Cup 2021

"Not young anymore" Ryosuke Kinoshita aims for victory among the current young star players

Day 3 of the Token Homemate Cup was cancelled, and it was pouring rain at the city of Tado, which Token's venue is located. Unexpected day off for all of the players, one of them, Ryousuke Kinoshita was working on winning strategy at his hotel room.

On rainy Day 2, Ryousuke made 3 straight birdies including the chip-in he made on the 3rd hole.
"I know how to play smart in the wind and rain. I swing it tight and hit low trajectory shots to avoid the wind. In the rainy condition, I make my swing ark small and compact to maintain control. These technics helped me through the first two rounds."

But Ryousuke had to finish with regrettable bogey on his final 18th. He had 15-meter to the pin but ended up 3-putting it for bogey.
"It was really regretful, what a waste. I wish I had more lead against the field. Eventually Takumi Kanaya took away the lead."

1 shot behind Ryunosuke is another young super star, an amateur Keita Nakajima. Ryousuke has played in the same group with Keita in the final group on the Final Round at SMBC VISA Taiheiyo Masters last November.

"Keita is always in the contestant among the professionals. So many young and talented stars are coming to the Tour. I will turn 30 this year. I am not young anymore, but those young stars motivate me. I want to fight hard too."

Ryousuke's goal is clear, to achieve his first victory.
"I will try to get as many birdies as possible to make that first victory come true."

Ryosuke being in great position, so many cheering message was sent to him. But Ryosuke says,
"If I became so concentrated on winning, I will be very nervous, so I rather not think about it."
