ISPS HANDA Gatsu-n to tobase Tour tournament 2021

42 years old Hideto Tanihara wishes to make "tournament host professional victory"

It has been 3 years since the last time that International Sports Promotion Society will be hosting Men's tournament. This week, International Sports Promotion Society (ISPS) will be hosting a new tournament on the Tour, and outside of golf, another main event will be the Japanese traditional torchlight Noh dance performed by the ISPS Chairman, Haruhisa Handa at the winner's ceremony on Sunday.

One of the eldest hosting professional, Hideto Tanihara says,
"Mr. Handa's performance is much greater than my golf."

Hideto's university juniors such as Naoto Nakanishi, Yoshinori Fujimoto, Kohki Shiomi, and Yuki Inamori are all sponsored by ISPS and this year Jinichiro Kozuma also joined. This "Handa family" is getting bigger every year, and the eldest of all is Hideto.

"I was offered the sponsorship back in 2013 and it has been 8 years. I am so grateful that he has decided to host a tournament for the Tour again. I hope this tournament will last long on our Tour history."

ISPS is celebrating its 15th anniversary this October.
"I want to give back by winning, not because this year is anniversary year, but I always want to show my appreciation by making a good result."

Hideto also talked with excitement o the win by another university junior, Hideki Matsuyama at ZOZO Championship last week.
"I watched on TV and was amazed by how great Hideki is. I have sent him the congratulating message right after. Many of the young JGTO players were able to experience the PGA setting, and also felt how great Hideki is by showing his great victory. Even us the older ones are getting really good motivation by his accomplishment."

This week Hideto has placed his old mallet putter back in his bag, the one he was using during his challenge at EPGA Tours in 2017.
"I couldn't get good feeling on that putter at European greens, but when I used it last week during practice it felt good. I think it suits Japanese greens."

Hideto has been away from winner's circle since his last victory at 2016 HEIWA PGM Championship. A 42 years old is aiming for his 15th Tour victory as the tournament host professional.
