ISPS HANDA Gatsu-n to tobase Tour tournament 2021
Tournament hosting professionals Kozuma, Inamori and Tanihara all showed great battles
Jinichiro Kozuma and Yuki Inamori both finished as 2T, 2 shots behind the winner. Both rushed into this week's tournament from ZOZO Championship last week. Yuki seemed had some fatigue from the PGA Tour setting battle, he said "after I was able to save par from deep right-side bunker on the 1st, I was on the roll", and he scored bogey free 63 on Sunday.
Yuki announced his sponsorship contract with ISPS around same time last year.
"I was able to give back my appreciation by performing well today"
On the otherhand, Jinichiro Kozuma, who made contract with ISPS this May, also has been supported by PGM, the organizer of this week's tournament, for 4 years.
"I wanted to send my gratitude to both of my sponsors so, I told myself to be aggressive. I aimed for making birdies on every hole. That led to 8 under play."
He also scored bogey free 63. He made 2 back-to-back birdies on 1&2 and 5&6, then he went on making 3 in a row from 11th. He finished his round by making 3-meter and made the crowd applause.
The eldest tournament hosting professional, Hideto Tanihara also showed his guts, and ended as 5T with 15 under.
"My golf seems to be in good condition, so I am looking forward to rest of the season. I really want to send my deepest appreciation to this week's sponsor for having this inaugural event."
