Asia Pacific Diamond Cup Golf 2021
Lowest Amateur winner Keita Nakajima's goal is "Masters 2022" and victory in Regular Tour as amateur
During his first 2 rounds this week, Keita was out ranked by Yuta Sugiura (Nippon University), Riki Kawamoto (Nippon Taiiku University), and Taiga Sugihara (Tohoku Fukushi University), as he plunged at 44T on the 1st Round.
"I made careless mistakes on my short putts. I managed to adjust it during the rounds, and I have well planned my game every day according to the circumstances."
Very talented 7 super amateurs made into the weekends, and Keita was climbing up the ladder day after day and became the Lowest Amateur at the end with being 13T among the professionals.
"I feel that this accomplishment means as much as winning the Japan Amateur title."
Keita finished 3rd in SMBC VISA Taiheiyo Masters, then 8T at Dunlop Phoenix, followed by 2nd at Token Homemate Cup. But unfortunately, he missed the cut at The Crowns.
"That was really regretful and made me fight strong this week."
Keita's future schedule on the professional tournaments is not set at the moment, but his main goal is to, "win at the Asian Amateur and receive the invitation to The Masters. Also, I want to win on the professional tournament as an amateur".
Exact same route as Hideki Matsuyama and Takumi Kanaya.
"Hideki and Takumi have done it, and I want to follow their footsteps."
So many super talented amateur future stars are awaiting for their chances.
