Bridgestone Open Golf Tournament 2021
Jinichiro Kozuma grabs ticket to ZOZO Championship by jumping into 2T with 3 straight birdie finish
He made an eagle on 9th. He thought if he could get to 15 under, he could still win, and played aggressively. That effort paid off with 3 birdies on finishing holes, as he surpassed several players to become 2T at the end.
In 2019, the inaugural year of ZOZO Championship, he was given sponsor invitation.
"I was devastated to see how much I lack from the world top players. I was playing well but my position on the leader board didn't go up at all."
Jinichiro won his 1st Tour victory in November last year and, this time he has earned the ticket to ZOZO Championship on his own. Now he is ready to make the challenge with some confidence.
"My ability will be tested among the top elites. I want to fight hard with all I've got and want to win it."
