On November 16th, last week's champion Hideto Tanihara turned 43 years old. He has his mind set on another big record, "back-to back victories". He has done it twice already. In 2007, he won Fuji Sankei Classic and won Suntory Open on the next week. In 2016, he won Shigeo Nagashima Invitatiional SegaSammy Cup and won Japan PGA Championship right after. Jumbo Ozaki has done it 8 times, Tommy Nakajima has done it 5 times. If Hideto succeeds, he will join Joe Ozaki and Toshimitsu Izawa.
"You will never know what the outcome may be, but if I could accomplish it, well anyone will be happy right?"
On Monday, Hideto was treated for the back ache which happened last Sunday and left the house. His 10 years old son's dream is to become a Youtuber.
"He is just another kid of this era. He doesn't care much about me, but I was told that he saw me win last week and was joyous saying dad is so cool."
Hideto received so many congratulating messages on his phone, but the best compliment came from his son.
"I will surely do my best again this week."
