Dunlop Phoenix Tournament 2021

Chan Kim steals the win and marks his V3 of the season & becomes No.1 on the Money race

Another big move was made on the Order of Merit race. Chan Kim succeeded in winning his 3rd victory of the season, 7th on this Japan Tour.

Chan started out 3 shots behind the leader but made great Sunday charge to play with 9 birdies and a bogey to score 63. At the end, it was two-way battle between Chan and Naoyuki Kataoka in the same groupings but, Chan took advantage with his big hit and won by 1 shot.

Now Chan Kim jumps from 4th to No.1 on the Money Rankings. In 2017, he finished 3rd, and in 2019 he was 4th on the Money race. Especially in 2017, he was leading the pack, but couldn't keep it due to his injury.

Chan has a great chance to accomplishing his goal, and there are only 2 more games on the schedule. Chan also has the chance to defend his title at JT Cup.

"I want to win at the finale and make a great season ending."

3R leader Ryosuke Kinoshita and Naoyuki Kataoka finished as 2T. Ryosuke was able to keep his No.2 position on the Money Rankings. Takumi Kayana's Money Ranking went down to 3rd, as he finished at 31T this week.
