Ryosuke Kinoshita was hoping that he could win this week and make a come back to No.1 position on the Money Rankings but couldn't make it happen and lost to Chan Kim by 1 shot.
He was 2 shot behind the leader as he reached final 18th, he had 8-meter eagle chance, which if he did make it, could have been a playoff, but Ryosuke missed the putt and dropped his shoulders.
"I was making mistakes on my tee shots until yesterday, so I wanted my 2nd shot to fall around 1 pin right of the hole and let it get near the cup. But I made a miss shot. I just couldn't play satisfactory shot under the pressure. I am not there yet, I guess."
Ryosuke started out as solo leader, and he made a big fist pump when he made an eagle on 4th. He was in a good roll during his front nine, but as he got to the back nine, he started to stumble. He made bogeys on 10th and 12th and gave away the leader's position. He had 3 shot deficit to the leaders Chan and Naoyuki, as he reached 322 yards Par 4 13th.
"I told myself to be aggressive, but my tee shot went over the green."
But Ryosuke managed to make birdie on 13th, with great short game and added 3 more, but couldn't catch up with the leader and finished at 2T.
With this victory, Chan Kim became No.1 on the Money Rankings, and Ryosuke kept his No.2 spot.
"You must win to become Order of Merit Champion. I must win to achieve that goal."
Takumi Kanaya, who was No.1 on the Money Rankings at the start of the week went down to 3 rd.
"I would like to say, I am aiming not only one but both victories", said Takumi, still very motivated to capture the Order of Merit title.
As for Rikuya Hoshino, a Srixon sponsored tournament hosting professional, he finished as 5T, but he also went down to 4 t\h on the Money List.
"I wished that I could have won this week. I was struggling with my performance for a while but this week I was able to play satisfying golf, so I want to keep this and win next week."
Order of Merit Race is still not predictable at all as top players are bunched up in very little differences.
