Yosuke Asaji at 5-way tie as co-leader wishes to deliver a victory for his baby boy back home
"Only time that I missed the fairway was on the 9th."
His shots were precise and windy tough conditions didn't get in his way much. His only bogey was on 14th, otherwise he had not much of problem as he managed to save par from awkward lie by the guard bunker at Par 3 7th, which got him to finish at total 7 under, being in 5-way tie as co-leaders.
His first victory was in 2019, and it was soon followed by 2 more wins. He has made himself into the top-class players, but he had his problems.
"I wanted to have more distances and stability. I went on to make swing changes during the stay home period. I did get more distance as I came back to the tournaments in last autumn, but I have placed too much emphasis on my swing chance and my scoring management was forgotten. Which led to not making the cut at last week's Kansai Open. Then a great advice was given to me to believe in my swing, that I have the stability to hit wherever I target. This advice made me realize that I am capable of hitting where I desire and make myself chances. I won't say my shot making is perfect, but I think I am playing almost perfect."
Due to many cancellation by the pandemic, Yosuke has been away from winning for 2 years.
"Since I am playing fairly well for the past 2 rounds. I want to wait for my chances tomorrow and be able to grab my chance to win."
Yosuke was married in summer of 2018, and his baby boy was born at the end of 2019.
"I am afraid of getting my family infected, so I haven't been able to go home. I really miss them."
May be Yosuke might be able to deliver them a great victory news instead.
