President Shimura has been supporting Japan's Golf Tours, both men and ladies for over 30 years, including this week's Fuji Sankei Classic.
"I have been attached to the golf industry for many decades and I know how difficult and tough task it is to organize a tournament. I was amazed and also excited to see the players built their own tournament from scratch. It was wonderful to see player not only perform on the course but also manage to build their own stage. I just wanted to help out."
President Shimura's support literary eased the thirst but also nourished the hearts of all the players and staffs.
Ryuko gave a framed pin flag of Japan Players Championship which is autographed by all of the Players Committee members to President Shimura as token of appreciation.
"Organizing the tournament, setting of the course, and so many other things to handle. It must have been really tough to build from scratch, but you all have done wonderfully", President Shimura replied, who also added, "please thank me more with the good result this week".
Ryoko has been having tough time now. Hasn't been able to make the cut for 3 tournaments.
"It's not that I am playing bad, but things are not engaged. I hope this week will be better."
Last year, Ryuko was in contention but finished at 3rd.
"We are thankful that Fuji Sankei Classic will hold its 2nd tournament of this pro-longed season for us. I hope I could show my appreciation with my performance."
The venue, Fujizakura CC has been renovated every year to become tougher, and President Shimura says, "this monstrous 7566 yards setting is a gift for the players from us."
