Naoyuki Kataoka from local Fukushima Prefecture enjoyed his practice round long with his buddies, a same years old rookie Yuki Furukawa and Itsuki & Koki Kurokawa twin brothers from same Tohoku Fukushi University.

Yuki was really encouraged by Naoyuki's victory which led him to make his best finish as solo 2nd at Japan Golf Tour Championship.
Naoyuki on the other hand says, "Yuki has been my rival since junior days, and I can't believe that he wasn't able to compete in professional level until now. I hope we could be able to perform great and compete for the victory."

Naoyuki also introduced Itsuki & Koki Kurokawa twin brothers saying, "there are so many talented university players". Since Itsuki & Koki Kurokawa are identical twins, it is hard to make difference.
"Today they wore different shirts, so I can see which is which, but it's been a while to see them, so I was getting mixed up", smiled Naoyuki.

Their practice round was interfered by lightening warning, but they enjoyed the time they spent together.

Naoyuki has been using Srixon since his coach in elementary school days were a Srixon user.
"I get really motivated when Srixon is the sponsor."

Naoyuki also made a great announcement that he has made sponsorship contract with Sato Shokuhin, who was the special sponsor for the Japan Players Championship which Naoyuki won his first career victory.
"After I won, I have been blessed with many honors. I am also aware that many eyes are on me too. So, I would like to make the tournament much exciting. I will concentrate on every shot, and make a great result."
