Naoto Nakanishi wants to win the tournament and also on online "dream team" game
"I'd say today's round was perfect, I will grade it 100. Actually, I was playing well last week too. But I barely made the cut and finished at 55T. I went too aggressive because I felt my game was in good shape. So, this week I have learned from that experience and went back to basics. Don't aim the pin and get the ball below the cup."
Naoki also has great advisor on his bag. Taylor Shota Takada, Hawaiian born Japanese used to caddy for Shugo at The Masters.
"We discuss freely and came to the strategy to aim to the pin from the wide sides. It worked well today."
As he recalled, his 2nd shot on Par 5 16 got to 2-meter to the pin and with that eagle his total became 9 under to jump up to solo 5th.
Naoki is having fun online game "Let's battle with your dream team match".
"I chose Shugo Imahira, Ryosuke Kinoshita, Eric Sugimoto and myself on 1R but ended up as 131st. Today, on the 2R I chose Ryo Ishikawa, Scott Vincent, Yuwa Kosaihira and me. If your dream team finishes within top 3, you'll be awarded with Panasonic electrical appliances. I want to win on the course, but also want to get those prizes in online game too."
In R1 game, Naoki's friend chose Naoki as one of the member for the "dream team" and successfully finished as 3rd.
"My friend called me to thank me that he got great goods. I felt happy doing well for my friend already."
