GOLF PARTNER PRO-AM TOURNAMENT 2021

Tomoharu Otsuki keeps his lead after the moving Saturday wishing to accomplish hometown win

Inaugural Golf Partner Pro-Am is making turn into the weekends and for the last 2 rounds, 60 amateurs will play without handicap and from the same tee box with the Pros. Also, advice from the Pros is prohibited now. For past two days, it was very fun and friendly atmosphere at this tournament as many amateurs enjoyed their doubles challenges, but on the weekends, it is a totally different story.

"Amateurs on the doubles games were really great players, but today's players were even better. They have long distances, and hits magnificent shots. I must do my best too."

Tomoharu misses his birdie chances on 1st and 2nd.
"But I was able to make 14 to 15-meter from the fringe of the green on 5th."

He also made 3 more birdies to get on the roll, but on 15th ended up as double bogey. He aimed to hit over the OB zone on his tee shot, but with the massive wind and the temperature being cold, he couldn't carry it and ended in the OB zone.
"It is quite impossible to play perfect for all 4 days and win. I was able to play well enough to keep my lead."

Tomoharu managed to score 67 and kept his solo leader position, for his career V2 chance, the victory he has been away for 2 years.

"I want to get my haircut, but not being able to move around freely due to the state of emergency and also being at tournament after tournament, I don't have time."

This tournament is also held in his hometown prefecture and it is only 1 hour drive to his house, but he won't be able to go visit either. On May 24th, next Monday, he will be playing at The Royal GC for the US Open qualifier, which is really close to his house.
"Still, I have no time to visit, but seriously I really need a haircut. It would have been great if the hometown spectators were here to see me in good chance for the victory, but I am just happy that I am at this good position."
