At East Course's R1 former professional baseball player from Yakult Swallows, Shinya Miyamoto made his debut on the Pro-Am tournament.

"I play 3 rounds per week on weekdays. My best score is 71, but usually I score around 80. Of course, I shoot over 90 sometimes too."

Today, he was in the same group with Yosuke Tsukada and Wen-Chong Liang.
"They taught me some tips, such as not to shift my hand back too quickly on my takeaway. I also learn about reading the lines on the greens. It was very worthwhile experience."

These tips helped Shinya's pair to score Even Par, 6T on East Course battle.

"I started to play golf since I was forced by my team seniors. So, it has been 25 years now. I haven't had the chance to play on charity Pro-Am events, so this is my first time to play in the tournament. It was tense atmosphere, but it felt good."

Other celebrities are also former professional baseball players such as Motonobu Tanishige, Kazuhiro Wada and well-known actor Masachika Ichimura will make their appearances.
