GOLF PARTNER PRO-AM TOURNAMENT 2021
Shotaro Wada achieved his career best and R3's best score of 61 to become 2T after R3
"Actually, my lifetime best was 61, so I wanted to extend it to 60", he made the turn with 30 on his front nine, and he was really aggressive on his back nine.
"I was really motivated and aim the pins. When I get my birdies chances, I never wanted to e short for I tried to drain it every time."
Shotaro made 2 straight birdies on 16th and 17th, and the stage was set for miraculous 30 as he had given himself the chance for 6-meter downhill right to left birdie chance.
"I really wanted to hole that one."
Ball misses the cup by a string, and he had to settle for 61, but he jumped up to 2T with total of 16 under onto the final Sunday.
Last year, he scored 63 on the exhibition game on this course and finished solo 2nd.
"I am very sorry, but I don't have good memories about those things. But I like this course. I like the scenery from the tee boxes, and it gives me good images on the shot making."
He first played golf on the vacation in Hawaii. He started to learn golf right after and succeeded in winning in many of the junior tournaments. He turned Pro in December of 2013, his Senior year in high school. He struggled to obtain the chances to play on the Regular Tour, but he challenged the China Tours and worked hard to gain his chances to play on the Tour.
Shotaro faces a great chance for his long-waited victory tomorrow.
"I will try to keep my motivation until the very end tomorrow, and I wish to be in contention on my last 9 holes for the chance to win."
