Announcement regarding the reason for Kaito Onishi's DQ right before his start at Final Round

Promising new star suffered disappointing DQ right before his start as 4T, 4 shots behind the leader on the Final Round. The reason was very unfortunate misunderstanding. Kaito miscalculated his 2 weeks restriction period, and he wasn't supposed to be in this week's tournament from the beginning.

Foreign Ministry strongly states 2 weeks restriction periods to be required to all visitors from "Travel advice and warning" is issued. Kaito miscalculated his end of the restriction date as May 19th and appeared to the tournament, but it was not after his 14 days requirement. Kaito did inform the tournament sponsor Golf Partner as they were who gave him the invitation, and the sponsor gave him approval to enter the field as he also tested negative on the PCR test.

But Japan Golf Tour Organization (JGTO) ruled out this special exception by the sponsor as it violates tournament rules and also COVID-19 Special Regulations, which every player are complying seriously. After receiving the answer from JGTO, Kaito Onishi decided to absent himself from the tournament and became DQ.
