All you need to know about Golf Partner Pro-Am Tournament

Returning for the second successive year, the Golf Partner Pro-Am Tournament promises another fun and entertaining week.

Adopting a similar format to PGA Tour's iconic AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, which was incepted in 1937, it is the one and only JGTO tournament where the professionals and amateurs get to compete together.

However, JGTO has taken a step further by letting the women amateurs rub shoulders with the Tour professionals.

The tournament will feature 300 amateurs - comprising 240 players for the two-man team event and 60 for the individuals - who made their cut through 30 qualifying sites across Japan in January this year.

The team event will take place on Thursday and Friday, followed by the two-day individual contest at the weekend.

These amateurs aren't competing against the professionals directly, but they can expect a rare opportunity of getting invaluable guidance and tips from the JGTO stars they pair with.

While mentoring their fellow playing partners, JGTO professionals will battle it out among themselves for the ¥10,000,000 top prize and priceless Official World Golf Ranking points.
