Inclement weather forces cancellation of second round at Fujisankei Classic

The second round of the Fujisankei Classic has been cancelled due to heavy rains with only six players managing to tee off at the Fujizakura Country Club on Friday.
 
First round play was already suspended due to weather conditions on Thursday. 38 players resumed their round early Friday morning with Riki Kawamoto securing the opening round lead after carding a seven-under-par 63 at the Fujizakura Country Club. 
 
South Africa’s Shaun Norris maintained his second position following a 64 while seven players including Taiga Semikawa and Hiroshi Iwata are bunched in third place on matching 68s.
 
Play is expected to resume at 7am on Saturday.
